What this is
GamersRate is a community game-rating site. Instead of squashing a whole game into one number, players score it across many dimensions — graphics, sound, story, characters, gameplay, technical performance, multiplayer, value, and more. Every game gets a single weighted score built from those category averages.
How scoring works
- Signed-in players rate each category from 1–100.
- Each category has a weight (0–1) controlling how much it counts toward the overall score.
- Those weights aren't set by us in a back room — they're voted on by the community, and the live weight is the average of everyone's votes (with a sensible default until people vote).
- The overall score is the weighted average of every category's community average — not a flat mean.
The result: a score the community actually shapes, end to end.
No nonsense
- We never sell your personal data.
- Being a developer never lets anyone inflate or manipulate a game's score.
- Sponsored placements are always clearly labelled “Sponsored”.

Accounts
The site is completely free — there's no paid tier and no subscription. A free account unlocks everything: rate & review games, keep lists, personalized recommendations, a taste graph, advanced filters, an ad-free experience, and a vote on the category weights that shape every game's score. Game studios can be verified by our team to respond to reviews and see analytics for their game — without ever touching the score.
How games get added
The catalogue is curated by the site's editors/admins. Spotted something missing or wrong? Get in touch and we'll sort it.
