1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using GamersRate ("the site"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information; don't impersonate others or studios you don't represent.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
3. Ratings, reviews & content
- Rate only games you've genuinely played; rate honestly.
- You keep ownership of reviews you write but grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the site.
- No spam, harassment, hate speech, illegal content, manipulation of scores, vote brigading, or automated/bulk rating.
- We may remove content or accounts that break these rules or distort community scores.
4. Pricing
- The service is free to use. There is no paid tier, subscription, or in-app purchase.
- Every feature (rating, reviews, lists, recommendations, taste graph, weight voting, ad-free browsing) is available to any free account.
- We may show clearly-labelled sponsored placements and affiliate links; these never affect a game's public score.
5. Developer access
Our team may grant a studio representative developer access to their game, which allows responding to reviews and viewing analytics for that game only. It grants no control over ratings, category weights, or the overall score. Misrepresenting your affiliation with a game may result in removal of access and the account.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or other users' data. We may rate-limit or block abusive traffic.
7. Availability & changes
The site is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these terms; material changes will be signposted, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
