What's this game about?

Sega's 1989 fantasy beat 'em up. Three warriors — Ax Battler the barbarian, Tyris Flare the Amazon, and Gilius Thunderhead the dwarf — set out to topple the tyrant Death Adder and rescue the kingdom of Yuria. Riding fire-breathing beasts and unleashing screen-clearing magic spells, it became one of the defining arcade brawlers of its era and a flagship Sega Genesis title.
