What's this game about?
Midway's third Mortal Kombat dropped the recognisable ninja cast in favour of new fighters like Cyrax, Sektor and Kabal, and added a 'Run' button + chain combos that fundamentally rewired the series' rhythm. The arcade hit was followed within months by the more famous Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, which restored the missing classic fighters.
